This marks the end of all serious work. A lap timer will be inserted into the removable power tap section. At that point, I will smooth out the minor bump in the outermost lane (nearest the wall). Otherwise, this track runs fast! The buildings will fill in the void behind the bridge. The visual distance will help add to the realism. I plan to add some track lighting (especially under the overpass) and will illuminate the few homes and the garage. Should make for some excellent night racing!

I decided to break out the Scalextric Goodwood set for some "staged" photos. I did not run them... I would rather "learn" my track with other cars (like the GT40 I sent off into the driveway). The very best part about this track is that all magnets simply become weights. Copper is non-magnetized. So far, I think the track drives very fast in the counter-clockwise direction. However, time will tell which direction is the fastest once I add the computer timing.

I hope these pictures inspire you to develop your slot racing in your own way! For me, I was inspired by my brief visit with Luf Linkert in Vancouver (Canada) and racing on his incredible routed tracks. Many thanks again for that single piece of lexan, Luf!
